Tchai Kimyoungjin [差異김영진; Custom-Tailor Brand]
Tchai Kimyoungjin is a brand that produces custom-tailored traditional hanbok from dansokkot (underwear) to chima (skirts) and jeogori (jackets) entirely by hand.
The brand concept derives from the most beautiful silhouettes of hanbok including jikbaerae (slim fit sleeves) and hangari (a long bubble skirt) shown in Sin Yunbok's "Miindo (Portrait of a Beauty)" from the 18th century. Our hanboks are also inspired by apparels that were excavated from ancient tombs. We incorporate imported fabrics including French lace as well as Korean fabrics such as mosi (ramie) and Sangju myungjoo (silk), in order to convey the modest beauty of Korea.
